Art collector Albert Barnes
Around 1900 the brilliant young German chemist Hermann Hille was recruited by the shrewd American businessman Albert C. Barnes. Together they developed a successful treatment against gonorrhea. Albert went on to be an internationally famous but quite uncouth art collector, Hermann remained the idealist and became a theosophist.
